Holiday Arts Academy
Kids love the holidays at The Arts Village where they learn new skills, make new friends, try new materials, and create cool art to take home! Each day offers a different activity taught by local artists for budding artists 8 to 12 years old. Sign up for one day or all of them.

NZ Mountain Film Festival National Tour
One of the world’s premier mountain film festival events is coming to Rotorua. Rotorua Night Market
Two blocks within the city centre are lit up and filled with street-food vendors, crafters and live music at the Rotorua Night Market. This family-friendly must-do event is popular with locals and visitors alike. It's FREE to attend and free parking is available surrounding the event.

Lakefront Boardwalk
Visit the Rotorua Lakefront, a fantastic recreational space for everyone to enjoy, and a great spot for the kids to play and burn off some energy.
Just over $40 million is being spent to redevelop this area. The new boardwalk, terracing, and an incredible new playground have just been completed. The original Volcanic Playground has also been upgraded for the wee ones in your family to play safely.
After all the fun, grab an ice cream from Lady Janes Ice Cream Parlour, just a few minutes’ walk away, and diagonally across the road from the Novotel.
The park and parking nearby are FREE.
