Planning your upcoming conference and needing some inspiration? Take a look at some of our recommendations for a three day, two night conference itinerary.
Day 1: Welcome function
Start your conference off right with a welcome function at Te Puia. Welcome your delegates on arrival with a pohiri, a Maori welcome ceremony. Following the formalities, head to the Pataka Kai Restaurant balcony for canapés and drinks whilst looking down into the geothermal valley and the stunning Pohutu Geyser, the southern hemisphere’s largest geyser.
Day 2: Conference
Head into a full day of conference at one of Rotorua’s nine conference hotels all within a 10-minute walk or short drive from the city centre, or the purpose-built conference and events centre located within Rotorua’s Government Gardens complex and a short walk from the hotels.
In the evening, give your delegates a free night to explore the inner city and enjoy the food precinct, Eat Streat, where you can find everything from Italian, Kiwi bar food to Thai cuisine.
Day 3: Conference, activity & gala dinner
Start the day off with a bit of business and wrapping up all the formalities by the afternoon to let your delegates have some fun and enjoy some of the unique activities our city has to offer, whether that’s indulging in some spa and wellness, heading out on an adventure, experiencing Māori culture, or heading out on the lakes and rivers, or hopping on a bike.
End the conference with an unforgettable evening awards or gala dinner. Arrive to a glass of bubbles on arrival, hop onto the gondola and end with a dinner overlooking Rotorua’s sparkling lights, dancing the night away.
